To make our school more Eco-friendly:

 

1. We will Reduce, Reuse and Recycle    whenever and wherever possible.

2. We will close doors and turn off computers.

3.  All litter will be placed in bins provided.

4. We will take care of our school grounds and local community.

 

 

 

Eco Action Plan
!

The school’s Eco action team has decided upon 3 areas of development;

litter, waste and the school grounds.  Below are the action points which we will work on and develop throughout the school year.

Outside Garden

June 2009

This is the area designated for the outside classroom. It is in the corner of the school grounds and currently not used at all.  There are weeds, stinging nettles, and old logs with a metal fence marking the school boundary.  In the far back corner is an old chicken run.

 

 

November 2009

We found a suitable source of wood.

 

 

January - February 2010

We then hired somebody to carve the designs from the wood.

 

 

May-June 2010

Next we got the area levelled off and a small mound of earth around the back off the classroom to show the boundary. 

 

We bought a canopy to attach between the trees overhead so that we could make the area more defined. Over the next year we hope to have different year groups making flags, insect boxes and tree decorations for this area.
