Behaviour
The good order of the School is maintained through supporting children's self-esteem and rewarding appropriate behaviour.

WE REWARD .................

Attendance                              Prizes are given for full attendance.

Achievement                            Individual reward cards enable children to

collect stickers or stamps on the basis of their

individual progress.

Each teacher nominates a 'Pupil of the Week' for our Celebration Assembly recognising academic achievement.

Attitude                                   Each class nominates a child for a Citizenship Certificate in recognition of respect show to people, property or the environment.

WE HELP CHILDREN TO BEHAVE APPROPRIATELY BY ........

Circle Time                              Weekly discussions take place around issues such as playground behaviour.

School Rules                            These are displayed in every room and discussed with children frequently.

Listening                                  Children are listened to and encouraged to give explanations of difficulties and disputes.

School Council                         We have set up a School Council to allow the children to contribute to decisions about the school.

IF CHILDREN BREAK THE SCHOOL RULES ..................

They will be asked to spend some 'time out'.  This is in a quiet part of the room for younger children and in another class for older children.  Key Stage 2 children lose part of their break in a 'time out' session.

Persistent bad behaviour is dealt with by the Headteacher. We will involve parents very early if children repeatedly display inappropriate behaviour.
