What and How We Teach

q       WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY IS FOR LEARNING. 

q       WE BELIEVE THAT LEARNING AND TEACHING IS MOST EFFECTIVE WHEN BASED  ON FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCES. 

q       WE WANT TO MAKE LEARNING IRRESISTIBLE!

 

OUR CURRICULUM IS BASED AROUND THEMES TO ENABLE CHILDREN TO HAVE A CONTEXT AND A PURPOSE FOR THEIR LEARNING.

We are pleased to see and work closely with parents – this is a very important part of the way that we work.

 

Class teachers are happy to talk on a daily basis if this is arranged for a good time for all.

 

Remember, there is usually a Learning Support Assistant in the classroom who will take a message if the teacher is busy at the beginning of the day.

 

The Headteacher writes a regular Newsletter for parents to keep parents up to date with what is going on.
