Nursery

The Nursery curriculum is based around developing children intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.  A great emphasis is put on language skills and playing imaginatively to learn.  Children are taught about books and stories, learning the skills that lay the foundation for reading and writing.  They learn to count and recognise numbers.

There are good opportunities for outside play on the toys and bicycles.  The children take part in a wide range of activities such as painting and sticking.  They learn to show curiosity when investigating objects and materials and to ask questions.  They also learn the routines of school such as listening and sitting at a sustained activity.

The Nursery children are a fully integrated part of the School, learning to join in with assembly and other school activities.
