Year 5
Year 5 Home Learning
Yeaer 5 Home Learning Summer 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back to term 6.
We hope that you managed a reasonable break over half term. We are missing you all and are looking forward to a time when we can all be back together. As some children will be returning to school soon and all staff are involved with this the way home learning is set is changing.
From Monday 1st June we will not be putting daily work on the school website. Instead we are directing you to use websites that provide daily sessions at this time. We have already been using them so they should be familiar to you.
We suggest that you use https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize Choose year 5 and this gives you three sessions for each day (English, maths and another subject).
You could also use https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-5#schedule. Again there are 3 lessons a day plus a link to PE with Joe Wicks. There is also a weekly assembly if that is something you’d like to be part of.
We would like your child to continue reading every day and also doing some TT Rockstars everyday. If you need help with the login for either Bug Club or TT Rockstars then please email us at yr5@windwhistle.extendlearning.org
Please feel free to explore the following too as we have used these during the sessions for the last 5 weeks:

We have really missed you a lot but hope you are all well and enjoying this beautiful sunshine. It has been lovely to see what some of you are getting up to on Facebook, especially the artwork and the yummy cooking. We have also been doing lots of cooking and reading. Mrs Robinson has even had a go at growing her own vegetables but so far only the courgettes are showing any signs of life. She thinks her naughty cats may have dug up the other seeds! We both hope you are all remembering to sing 'Happy Birthday' twice when you wash your hands, like we practised, and we look forward to seeing you again soon, when life finally returns to normal. Keep up the reading and practise those times tables. We will be testing you when you get back! Mrs Robinson, Mrs Madeley and Miss Guttridge
