Windwhistle School

Many of you will already know about the School but we hope this website provides information that will be of interest and value to all parents.

 

Windwhistle School is proud of its achievements. We have been praised by the Local Education Authority for our year-on-year improvements in results. Windwhistle Primary School has been graded "outstanding" by OFSTED inspectors in 2008 (click here to read the report).

We are equally proud of the facilities we provide, not just for our children but for the whole community. We have an excellent new sports hall and have invested in our outdoor play facilities. We continue to invest in our computer suite and in the use of new

Windwhistle Schooltechnology in classrooms, and have recently opened a new nursery building which is proving extremely popular with parents and children alike.

 

We are a caring, supportive school where all staff work as a team with parents, governors and others to ensure the children grow into confident learners.

Our motto is 'Achievement by Building Confidence' and we aim to achieve this for our children in all areas of school life. Every child is nurtured academically, socially and emotionally to support their development.

 

We believe that children learn best through 'doing' and arrange visits to places to enable them to have first-hand experience of areas of the curriculum such as History and Geography.
