Now that you have officially accepted your place here at Windwhistle, we would like you and your child feel part of our school from today, not just from September.

To help with this, we have a range of events and activities planned to help you and your child become familiar with the school, our staff and the other families who are joining Windwhistle with you.

Welcome phone call : When you have received confirmation that your child has been given a place at our school, Mrs Backler, one of our Assistant Headteachers and EYFS and Key Stage 1 lead will give you a ring to welcome you to school personally. This will be in the first 2 weeks of Term 5.

Preschool visits : During the month of June staff will be visiting your child in their pre school setting to observe them in an environment where they feel secure and confident and also chat to their present key workers.

Stay and play: Wednesday 25th June 2025, 1:45- 2:45 in the school hall- 1 parent/ carer and their child invited to come along and meet the teachers and begin to make new friends.

Information Meeting: Wednesday 2nd July 2025 at 2.15 in the school hall. This is where you will find out which class and teacher your child will be with. - Parents only.

September Starting dates

Tuesday 2nd September 2025- INSET (school closed to children for Staff Training)

Wednesday 3rd  September 2025- INSET (School closed to children for Staff Training)

Thursday 4th September 2025 - Parent meetings 

Friday 5th September 2025 - Parent meetings

Parent meeting times will be allocated at the Parent information meeting on Wednesday 2nd July 2025.
