In case of the need for a school closure (eg severe weather) we need to be prepared.  It is always the policy of Windwhistle School to stay open if at all possible.                             

If we decide it is necessary for the School to close, the news will always be communicated by text message to all parents, via email, on the school website, Facebook and at regular intervals by local radio stations:

• Radio Bristol
• Heart Radio
• BBC Somerset

Please check if the School is open before you bring or send your child to school.  We will make every effort to have someone at school to answer the telephone in such an emergency. 

If a closure is necessary during the school day all parents and cares will receive a text message asking them to collect their child from school.
