Life at Windwhistle Primary School

Windwhistle Primary School is now closed to all pupils for the foreseeable future.  We remain open to provide childcare from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday for children who are identified as vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.  All other children should have received home learning packs.  If you have not please contact the school by email or phone.

Our school is still operational behind the scenes, but as staffing numbers are significantly reduced, please be patient if you contact us for help or support. As always, we will do our best to help you as quickly as possible.

These are extraordinary times but we fully expect Windwhistle Primary School to reopen as soon as the Department for Education and Public Health England give instruction to do so. We understand the uncertainty this creates for you all but we are a strong and supportive community that will flourish and become ever stronger. We'd love for you to keep in touch. Please follow our Facebook page and let us know your achievements and experiences, however big or small so we can share with the community.

Please help to support our local emergency services by thinking about how we use them.  Wherever possible for Police non-emergency incidents please use the following website: or call 101 to report your concerns.  The police want to work in our communities to keep us all safe.

FAHLC are open for access to the GP service and an offer of Foodbank to those vulnerable families.  Horizon are asking if medical advice is needed that patients should access the online booking service or use the phone 0345 350 3973 or NHS 111 for further advice.

The Foodbank is accessible through 01934 427426
