Uniform
We are very proud of our School and believe that our School Uniform helps children to feel they are part of our community and take pride in wearing it.
Please refer to our Uniform Policy for more information.
We are mindful of the cost of Uniforms and every effort is made to ensure our Uniform accessible. Items can be purchased inexpensively from most local supermarkets and, although branded items with our school logo are available, these are not a requirement.
We are committed to meeting the DfE's (Department for Education) recommendations on costs and value for money. Every care is taken to ensure that our uniform is affordable for all current and future pupils, and that the best value for money is secured through reputable suppliers which we review regularly.
Affordably Priced
Items with the school logo can be purchased through our uniform supplier Concept Wear in Oldmixon Crescent if Families wish to choose this option but it is not an essential requirement.
Please click here to go to the Concept Wear website.
Non-Branded is OK
Branded uniform items are not a requirement. We encourage families, especially those with children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 to purchase plain, unbranded uniform. This is cheaper and better suited for children when they are growing quickly and getting messy during self-led play. Items of unbranded school uniform in our school colour can be purchased easily and cheaply from a wide selection of local shops and supermarkets.
Pre-Loved Uniform
At Windwhistle, we encourage Families to donate their outgrown or unwanted Uniform items so that we can continue to reduce waste and cut down on costs!
Please consider donating your Uniform to our "Swap Shop" where it will be given a new home.
Pre-Loved Uniform is regularly available from a stall in the playground, however if you are in need of any items throughout the School year, please let the Pastoral Team know.
Our Uniform consists of;
- a blue jumper or cardigan with or without the School logo
- a white polo shirt, shirt or blouse
- a pair of grey or black trousers or shorts, skirt or pinafore dress
- Children may prefer to wear a blue and white checked summer dress in the warmer months
Windwhistle book bags can be purchased from the School Office.
Our PE Kit is;
- a pair of black or white shorts
- a plain white t-shirt
- a pair of trainers
Protection from the sun is an important aspect of school summer clothing and the Health Authority clearly warns parents that exposed skin during the summer period can lead to serious skin disorders.
Sometimes items may get lost or misplaced in School. To avoid items not being found, please ensure that all clothing is clearly marked with your child's name and class.
Should you find that you need any help with uniform, please contact the school office on office@windwhistle.extendlearning.org or 01934 629145.
We all know how frustrating it is when Uniform items go missing!
By ordering labels from www.mynametags.com and using our School Code 33075, 24% of the value of your order is donated back to the School towards enriching experiences for our children.
